Overview

SubPilot does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data processing happens locally within your browser.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No personally identifiable information
• No browsing history or web activity
• No YouTube video data sent to our servers
• No analytics or telemetry

Local Storage Usage

SubPilot uses chrome.storage.local solely to:

• Temporarily pass subtitle text between the YouTube tab and AI service tabs (data expires after 30 seconds)
• Save your preferences locally: selected AI services, custom instructions, and auto-submit toggle

This data never leaves your device and is never sent to any external server.

Host Permissions

SubPilot requests access to the following domains only to perform its core function:

• youtube.com — to extract subtitle data from YouTube video pages
• chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com, chat.deepseek.com, dola.com, chat.qwen.ai — to insert subtitle text into AI chat input fields

No data from these pages is collected or transmitted elsewhere.

Third-Party Services

SubPilot opens AI service websites in new tabs at your request. Once on those sites, you are subject to their respective privacy policies. SubPilot has no control over those services.
